For part 2 of the orbzone's focus on the ICE shooting of Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez, we first caught up with the past week's developments in the still-developing story in question, after which the janitor set about going through/describing/analyzing/responding to as many of the ~95% sad/disturbing Pro-ICE memes and comments left underneath last week's part 1 as time allowed (and as they could be stomached, tbh; "faces of death"-type memes are apparently quite popular in certain circles on the Facebooks these days when it comes to these stories 😔 (but they ain't all grim.. just... kind of most of them!))..  2 hour show.

Starting off due to the fact that old people on facebook like to watch bird videos, a Rube Goldberg-ian series of events unfolded leading to a post of last week's zone on the janitor's PERSONAL FB page to get nearly 9000 (*now up to over 14K) views in less than 24 hours! So last Sunday night we set out to find out what all those 9000 people had to say (or at least the 422 commenters (so far) had to say..(*741 at the time off this posting) about the shooting, as well as what might have ACTUALLY HAPPENED!  2 hour show.

An ICE agent shot and wounded 28-year-old Venezuelan national Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez during a law enforcement operation in North Austin on September 20, 2026. The incident has triggered conflicting narratives and widespread protests.
Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, 28, was making a DoorDash delivery in Austin on Sunday when his car was “sideswiped” twice by ICE officers in an unmarked truck, immigration attorney Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch told reporters earlier Monday. He was shot and taken to a hospital, she said, but was released later Sunday into ICE custody with the bullet still inside him.
Speaking by phone during a news conference, Perez had said doctors didn’t remove the bullet because it’s near his spine. He said ICE pressed for him to be released quickly from the hospital so it could move him to a detention center. He said he had received no pain medication or treatment there, and had slept on the floor, before eventually being given a “pill” by a nurse on Monday.
This show mostly isn't really about all that and is more so focused on Minneapolis stuff from 2020, but since this story is quickly falling down the memory hole I just figured I'd mention it here.  2 hour show.

Minneapolis police bodycam footage from the night of May 30, 2020, released in October 2021, captured officers from a SWAT unit cruising in an unmarked white van to enforce a citywide curfew. The controversial video shows officers firing less-lethal rounds at civilians, slashing car tires, and making comments about "hunting activists".
Context of the Footage
The video was made public during the legal defense and subsequent acquittal of Jaleel Stallings, an Army veteran who returned fire in self-defense after being shot in the chest with a rubber bullet from the unmarked van.
Surveillance and bodycam footage proved Stallings surrendered immediately, after which he was punched and kicked by officers. He was completely exonerated by a jury and later reached a $1.5 million civil settlement with the city. 
Key Content in the Videos
"Hunting" Remarks: Officers and supervisors were recorded on body camera stating, "You guys are out hunting people now, it's just a nice change of tempo" and "Be very, very quiet. We're hunting activists". 
Curfew Enforcement: The footage showed team members randomly firing 40mm less-lethal rounds at people on the street and laughing or fist-bumping upon hitting targets.
Property Damage: Officers were captured slashing the tires of parked vehicles along their patrol route.
Repercussions
The release of the footage prompted intense public outrage and sharp condemnation from Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who labeled the behavior "galling".
Several key figures seen or implicated in the video, including the commander and training personnel involved, subsequently left the Minneapolis Police Department.
