the orbzone

Portland, Portland, Portland.. whether it's 2020, or right here in 2025, the city of Portland, Oregon has been, and continues to be, a national epicenter of protest, street activism and political dissent.  This week the orbzone continues its "focus on Portland" sub-series of the overarching "Fuck 12" mega-series with both LIVE AUDIO COVERAGE of Portland's current-day, ongoing anti-ICE demonstrations, and -exclusive- audio from the Janitor's private collection of recordings from 2020's Black Lives Matter protests.  3 hour show.

Not surprisingly, this week our treacherous voyage through everything "12" found us still continuing to a/b test Portland protest audio (and politics) between the janitor's 2020 recordings and our LIVE on-the-ground live feeds.  3 (and some change) hour show.

WIth Trump continuing to stoke the left/right flames with more promises of "WAR" headed toward "WAR-RAVAGED PORTLAND", things've been correspondingly heating up at the nightly protests at ye olde ICE facility there as well (but luckily not quite heating up so much as to keep us from also showcasing/getting through/mixing in another couple hours of my previously-live-mixed Portland BLM protests from 2020).  3 hour show.

With Trump declaring WAR on "WAR-ravaged" Portland recently, there was much anticipation how the Land of Ports was gonna react.. for the 168th episode of the "fuck 12" series, we began with live audio coverage of protests in Portland, but then when those got too boring and petered out, we time traveled back to 2020 where we could get more sweet, sweet protest audio mixin' and commentary!  3 hour show,

The orbzone won, obviously.  2.5 hour show.

Aaaaand, we're back (sort of*)!
The orbzone in the highly broed out process of changing podcast hosting platforms, so this most recent episode was from almost 2 freakin' weeks ago at this point, so i (the janitor) don't remember much about it...buuuuuut, according to my notes it was "fuck 12, part 167 (focus on Portland, part 20)", so I would imagine that it probably involves Portland and policing and lot's of yelling and protesting and stuff both live and recorded (and i'll betcha Jayden called in too!)
3 hour show.

*prolly gonna delete and repost this show once I get podomatic (our old hosting platform) to be kind enough to give the orbzone a "301 redirect", which I can assure you is indeed more-or-less the equivalent of a "reach around" in the podcasting bizness.
*and also, if you go checking into this new Podbean account you'll find that although the 150-or-so episodes that were on the Podomatic site, while now existing as entries here on Podbean, are also in need of their own "reach-around" in the form of having their audio re-uploaded in order to play correctly; the Janitor (and even The Condor) are on it so hang tight! (And if this works overall, look for many hundreds of older zones to re-amerge in the form of a 25-year robust archive the likes of which you've never seen before! #ReachAround

for 166th installment in the "fuck 12" series, the orbzone found the janitor, long-time/no-see zone participant IBZack, and Jayden focusing on Portland-protests-past for the 19th time, along with LIVE AUDIO COVERAGE of protests in L.A., Portland, AND freakin' Jakarta (which, apparently, is quite off-the-chain these days in the F12 department.  3 hour show.#fuck12 #FuckICE #Portland #LosAngeles #Jakarta #BlackLivesMatter

Being that it was "fight night" yet again at LA's' ICE facility, we did some LIVE AUDIO COVERAGE of the goings on there.  1.5 hour show..#LosAngeles #FuckICE #Fuck12 #BlackLivesMatter

a wee bit of live coverage, but mostly 2020.. 3 hour show.#Fuck12 #OccupyICE #Portland #BlackLivesMatter

We were gonna continue with our "focus on Portland" series, but with a "24-Hour Protest" underway in L.A., our news team instead went to work bringing you LIVE AUDIO COVERAGE of L.A.'s Sunday night ICE protests instead!  3 hour show.#Fuck12 #FuckICE #Portland #LA #ChingaLaMigra #BlackLivesMatter
